The last month was catastrophic Fallout 4 To update was supposed to fix and improve the old RPG, but instead it broke a lot of things and angered fans. Now Bethesda is patching the patch with a just-announced upcoming update Fallout 4.
On April 25th, Bethesda released a major update for Fallout 4, It’s an almost ten-year-old open-world role-playing game. The update was announced almost two years earlier but only arrived last month, shortly after the launch of the hit Amazon TV show
On May 10th, Bethesda announced via a short post on Twitter The Fallout 4 would receive a new update on May 13th. According to the company, this next patch will include “new graphics and performance settings options” and will also contain other “fixes” and “improvements.”
“Thank you for your continued feedback and support,” Bethesda concluded the post.
Neither the tweet nor Bethesda’s website included patch notes or other details, but it seems the company is well aware that it’s big and fancy Fallout 4 Update was a flop that angered fans and made the game worse in some important ways.
For example, Steam Deck players lost access to most graphics settings after the patch. On consoles, gamers new, strange texture errors reported with certain weapons. And on PC, while players reported improved performance in some areas, all of their mods were broken and needed to be updated. Bethesda Fallout 4 Update also led to this Delay from Fallout: London, a huge and highly anticipated fan-made expansion for the game that was scheduled to release two days before Bethesda’s big next-gen patch. Recognizing that this would be a problem – as the mod would break after the update went live on April 25th –Fallout LondonThe developers withheld the mod.
Fans understandably didn’t like it all, and although I’m glad Bethesda is moving so quickly to fix and hopefully improve the update Fallout 4 (for real this time) it really seems like the company should have spoken to modders and worked with them to update the old RPG. Maybe next time!
