It seems this move might have indirectly affected Nintendo Switch games. Runwaya company that uses artificial intelligence to create text-to-video generators, has reportedly trained its Gen-3 model by scraping thousands of YouTube videos, potentially including several Nintendo channels, according to a report by 404 Media.
This has been known through a spreadsheet obtained by the mediumwhich includes channels from Nintendo, Disney, Rockstar Games, Netflix and Sony. An anonymous Runway employee has now confirmed that the company used a web crawler to download these videos, bypassing Google’s proxy server blocks.
