Bohemia closes Bratislava studio – News

After many years of work on DayZ, the Bohemia studio located in Bratislava has just closed its doors. The company announced it in the evening on Twitter and via its blog.

If you actively follow DayZ, be aware that this closure does not endanger the life of the game, although work will now slow down. Thus, if the team is now reduced to frenzy, the title will be followed by various developers from different studios

, which will alternate between DayZ and the other titles under development. Concretely, and as indicated NoFrag, this means that the title will only receive five updates during the year, and these will be primarily intended to balance the gameplay and fix bugs. Small content is planned, but there will be no major update at this level.

We recently closed our Bratislava studio. It was a mutual decision between the management and the studio managers, and we would like to thank all the members of the team for their contribution. This decision will not affect the future development of DayZ, which will continue as indicated here.
