EY Argentina has developed a new system for Entrepreneur of the Year, a strong global program aimed at recognizing and rewarding successful entrepreneurs in the business world and in the social world for the promotion, promotion, and dissemination of inspiring ideas. After more than thirteen years of working and developing well in the field of education, technology and social impact Melina Masnatta, Executive Director and Founder of Chicas en Tecnología (CET), received an award from the Economic Society category.
Chicas en Tecnología is an Argentine non-profit organization that builds the community that since 2015 has been working directly with leaders in the education and business sectors in technology. The organization promotes the creation of an ecosystem that allows to reduce the gender gap in technology and create sustainable communities for women's development as technological leaders. Melina Masnatta, Executive Director of CET, has dedicated more than a decade to creating solutions and opportunities for technology education in a comprehensive and systematic way. She has experience in designing, developing, researching and testing projects for new programs and programs that define education and technology with a focus on the region, both in the public, private and international organizations, and is responsible for developing, training, empowering the youth and the gender gap. Melina is also an Ashoka Fellow for her work as a social entrepreneur who promotes strategic change and effective leadership.
As part of her commitment to the opportunity of Chicas en Tecnología Melina, she decided to donate the proceeds to the organization's Prize: "We need something important to not forget about the emergency. I am confident that technology today is an important part of the world to come, so it is important to include girls, women and all young people as players who should be able to access, participate and create this atmosphere."
In the category of Social Entrepreneurs, EY Argentina provided the entire list, for the event hosted by Melina Masnatta along with Alicia Garré, president of Children's Hospital Collaborative Dr Ricardo Gutiérrez and Hernán "Colorete" Espantoso Rodríguez founder of Alegrañatas, a basic synthetic vaccine assistance at hospitals and schools.
