Fortnite has become a mass phenomenon as a free-to-play battle royale shooter and via popular streamers like Ninja. In the meantime, however, the shooter is increasingly entering paths away from classic video games.
That underlines the new »party royale mode«where you can't fight other players. This will receive special attention with a big concert that will take place on May 9th at 3 a.m. German time in Fortnite itself.
The following musicians perform during this concert:
- Dillon Francis
- Steve Aoki
- deadmau5
The show is scheduled to run for an hour, and will be held on the same day (as May 9th) repeated from 8pm to 9pm of our time. Most recently, Fortnite had received a lot of attention with a concert with Travis Scott, and a prominent guest at the first event of this kind was Marshmello.
Gift in peaceful party royale mode
As usual, Epic will use the event to hand out a gift. You get the back equipment »neon swing«, which should react to music. To do this, you need to log into Fortnite at the following times: On May 9th from 12:00 a.m. to May 11th at 4:00 p.m.
The Party Royale mode, which can already be used in the game, has so far offered only a few activities such as an obstacle course in the air or boat races. However, Epic claims to continue working on this "experimental map" from Fortnite.
It will be interesting to see if the mode is so well received that at some point more players will spend their time in Fortnite with peaceful party games instead of battle royale battles.
