Less than a month after the release of Season 4 of Halo Infinite, we can already get excited about some new features that will arrive in multiplayer. Despite the lousy presentation and the marketing movement of 343, they have already confirmed several more than interesting news that will arrive on June 20.
Part of the Halo 2023 Championship Series, we were shown new items that will change the competitive playable meta and take gameplay to another level on every map. From what we’ve seen, we’ll get two new armor abilities, a new ranking system, a new map, and a new game mode. is not the only thing that will come, but it is the most relevant.
Everything is coming to Halo Infinite in Season 4
The first thing to note is that they’ll be looking to maintain a “crosscore” style of customization, which means most colors will be able to be interspersed between armor sets, which we haven’t been able to do until now. recently. . In this way, we focus on the most important novelties of this presentation:
New map – Forest:
When the developers focus on creating quality content with love for the community, it shows, and that’s what we see in the preview of the new 4vs4 arena map. From what we’ve been able to see, and they’ve told us, this is a card with a classic, symmetrical cut that seeks to mirror that aesthetic of games like Halo 2 in the Halo Rings. However, according to one of the designers, this card is located on a totally different planet and has nothing to do with the rings.
From what little we know, this is a map created to compete, since there will be many secrets to discover such as roads and strategic areas to eliminate enemies. Also, it can make narrative sense if we think about the Halo Infinite campaign and its connection to multiplayer.
New game mode – Infection
We all know how Infection works from previous games. Now, and as seen in the images shown to the public for the first time, we will have plenty of arsenal to take out the infected. Apparently we will be playing with smaller player rooms to balance the games as this will be considered a competitive mode in the future.
New equipment:
- Transocator: In the absence of the official name in Spanish, the translocator is an equipment that works to teleport the player from one point to another when we launch the projectile. It’s an element that completely breaks the gameplay, since its operation is very curious. Basically we are talking about the ability to transport ourselves from one point to another on the map, leaving a portal in our last location, if we want to return to the starting point we can do it, giving players many possibilities around teleportation.
- Threat Hunter: the “threat scanner” will work like something quite familiar, but with an important differentiator. This will work like the Threat Scanner, which essentially leaves a range by which enemies within that radius will be identified for a period of time. The difference of this new equipment is therefore that the range is increased and it will last much less, giving a glimpse of full rooms, but with the disadvantage that it is only a single shot.
New progression system
And yes, as we already anticipated through various leaks, the new ranking and progression system will be coming to Halo Infinite in Season 4. They didn’t give us many details about it, but we already have you says everything we need to know in a news item above which will be linked here.
In this way, we will have to look forward to June 20 with all the news that will arrive on Halo Infinite and, of course, wait for a reveal of the battle pass and all the content that will come with it.
