2K today introduced WWE 2K24, the latest installment in the series that celebrates 40 years of WrestleMania.
2K today announces WWE 2K24, the latest entry in the WWE video game series developed by Visual Concepts, coming soon to PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes will grace the cover of the Standard Edition on his path through the WWE that will lead him to the World Title and the fulfillment of his destiny. Multiple champions and Women’s Royal Rumble winners Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley share the cover of the Deluxe Edition, marking the first time in history that two women have their own WWE 2K cover.
Meanwhile, the cover of the “40 Years of WrestleMania Edition” features original art celebrating the most iconic Superstars and legends in WrestleMania history, including The Rock, The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and many more.
WWE 2K24 features several improvements to the series, including the 2K Showcase…of the Immortals celebrating 40 years of WrestleMania, four new match types such as Ambulance and Special Guest Referee, two new My Story experiences, and much more.
Additionally, fans can look forward to a massive roster of more than 200 WWE Superstars and Legends, including Roman Reigns, Andre the Giant, Becky Lynch, Batista, Kurt Angle, Asuka, Bret Hart, Brock Lesnar, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Chyna and many more.
Realistic graphics and improved animations – over 90% of facial expressions have been updated – as well as improvements to the ramp and dive cameras and the ability to move the camera during live gameplay are among the new WWE 2K experiences.
The WWE 2K24 Deluxe Edition and Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition will be released worldwide on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, followed by the Standard Edition and Standard Cross-Gen Digital Edition on Friday, March 8, 2024.

- Iconic roster: WWE 2K24 offers a star-studded roster with WWE legends like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, the Undertaker and Andre the Giant as well as current WWE superstars like “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, John Cena, Rhea Ripley and Roman Reigns, their larger-than-life Performances and signature moves are enhanced by ultra-realistic graphics.
- New match types and improvements to existing match types: The players asked for it, and WWE 2K24 fulfills this request with four new, chaotic match types: Special Guest Referee, Ambulance Match, Casket Match and Gauntlet Match. Additionally, Backstage Brawl now features 4-player support and new interactive environmental elements – including a working elevator, breakable glass in the control room and a drink vending machine that can be pelted with drinks – while Royal Rumble now supports eight online players in 30 -Superstar online matches offers. All familiar WWE 2K match types such as WarGames, Extreme Rules, TLC, Submission, Hell in a Cell and many more also return. Further details on each new match type will be announced soon;
- Gameplay improvements: WWE 2K24 features improvements throughout gameplay including Super Finishers, the Trading Blows mini-game, top rope dives on a group of opponents outside the ring, double title matches, new Paybacks and much more. New weapon types, including trash cans, guitars and microphones, as well as the ability to throw weapons, allow players to cause pain. There are also seven real WWE referees on board, making the gaming experience even more immersive;
- My GM: The popular WWE management simulation continues to expand with new GMs and shows to choose from, more match types, more drama, more championships, talent scouts, superstar trades between shows, superstar contract management and the new Superstar Journey, which allows Superstars to earn XP, train and level up to receive new benefits after participating in matches;
- My FACTION: The Team Building mode, in which players collect, manage and upgrade a range of WWE Superstars and Legends to form their ultimate team of four, returns with a new direct purchase card market and an updated multiplayer experience. Players can now compete in online QuickPlay with unique rewards and seasonal leaderboards, challenge themselves with Weekly Towers, and take on a revamped Faction Wars 2.0 that includes more real-world factions, more 4v4 match types, a Faction Wars-specific reward shop and offers more. New themed map packs and objectives will be released regularly throughout the year with seasonal content updates;
- My STORY: In WWE 2K’s unique Career Mode, players take control of custom-created Superstars looking to make a name for themselves and cement their legacy in WWE history in two new storylines – Undisputed (men) and Unleashed (women). There are four different editions of WWE 2K24: the Standard edition, default Cross-gen digital edition, Deluxe Edition and the 40 Years of WrestleMania Edition:
