Microsoft’s gaming division, as led by Phil Spencer, has made a huge shift in how it interacts with studios, content creators, and gamers. Xbox is now more synonymous with gaming than ever before.
It’s not new that Team Xbox recognizes the good work of certain development studios, but this is the first time I’ve seen them send a trophy badge to some of them, mainly independent studios.
The prize is a very elaborate Xbox badge
So far we know that this award was received by the creators of the game Chainsaw Massacre
However, it is not clear who will receive them, hopefully other studies will share this over the days or weeks.
Personally, I find this a rather curious and positive initiative, and it will surely help a lot to strengthen the relationship between developers and Microsoft. These types of gestures do not consume much budget and add a lot to the relationship.
