Batman will finally land Hot wheels unleashed! You can only imagine the excitement of the team when we managed to partner with DC Comics … with Batman himself! The whole development team was shaking with excitement to see what great things we could do. People immediately started brainstorming ideas, coming up with concepts for the environment, finding new cars, and last but not least, creating a new module for the route editor!
The Batcave was one of the biggest and most challenging features we had to face. It took a lot of time and effort to create it to restore the same vibes that people are used to when referring to Batman. The Batmobile was one of the main pillars that the whole environment had to revolve around: we wanted to recreate it at its finest so that players could sprint, drift and race everywhere to discover all the little details that make it so unique and fascinating .
I may not say this, but I recommend exploring the entire Bath Cave: we had the chance to sneak in some lovely Easter Eggs straight from the DC Comics world that we think you will enjoy. I would love to see if you can find them all.
With heroes you can also expect villains: That’s why you get The Penguin and The Joker GT together with the cars Robin 2.0T, Batman Rebirth and Armored Batman. Get ready to compete with your friends and see who is the fastest!
On top of that, we’re adding the Joker Funhouse Split: this is a new animated module for the track editor that you’ll see in some of the tracks we created specifically for the Batcave. The Joker Funhouse Split will keep you busy as you have to decide which side to run around the Joker while his hammers hit you in the ground or blow you up!
Working with DC Comics and being able to portray the amazing Batman’s Batcave and some of the different DC Comics cars has been an honor and fun to see this world come together with Hot Wheels.
