Hey Outlander.
Season 7 brought us the mercenaries, and while everything wasn’t as perfect as we would have liked, we feel like everyone enjoyed the time we spent with them. We are very grateful for all of the feedback you have given us as it has helped us make a number of improvements and fixes. Without further ado, allow us to introduce the newest group of Outlanders called the Trappers.
Season 8: Trapper
It’s no surprise that Trappers was inspired by your feedback and the creative freedom of our artists. This time you will be chasing a group of people living in harmony with nature. Season 8 is all about hunting and a quieter and sneakier style of play, which is why the anti-camping mortar strike with the mercenaries has left.
If you just want to blend in with the surroundings, this is the time of year for you. Norway is the land of trappers and they can be identified by animal face colors, subtle colors, and inventive backpacks. One place you won’t miss a trapper is the lobby. The titles presented in the form of hunting trophies are absolutely outstanding. There are 50 new levels of the Battle Pass waiting for you. Dive in and enjoy a season dedicated to nature!
Outland is always changing
Many of you have mentioned in the past few months that there has been too many changes and too many new things. We hear you even if we need some time to react! The first thing that should make many of you happy is that the anti-camping mortar strike has been canceled. We released this one because we thought it would be a nice obstacle for campers, but as you let us know, it affected the gameplay in ways we didn’t intend. So the mortars went with the mercenaries. If the campsite needs to be approached in the future, we will have to go for something much finer.
Another positive news is the return of several loot events. Xbox gamers are the game’s beloved veterans. So you know there was only one loot event before the holiday burst. But there have been a lot of newer folks who felt that more loot events would make the gameplay more fun. We still think having three of these is a little too much, so we went for two. We hope this brings a little more luck to the Outlands and that you will enjoy the change.
This time we also took a different approach to weapons. We’ve heard a lot of opinions about guns lately and we feel like we’ve got to a point where there are too many of them. That’s why we’ve taken a closer look at weapon animations and made some improvements this season. If you want to learn more, be sure to check out our changelog. This time we’re just releasing one new weapon, the PH M82. There is some discussion about how to approach guns in the future and we believe it would be beneficial if each gun felt more unique.
The hunter or the hunted?
One last thing you don’t want to miss is the new packs. Why? Because we try a new approach with everyone! The Hunter Pack replaces the Premium Prepper Pack. It includes a special variant of the Hunter Uniform that we haven’t released yet, as well as 2855 (+1145 bonus) crowns – just like the Prepper Pack. What has changed, however, is pricing. We’re offering this premium package for $ 69.99 instead of $ 99.99.
The second pack to enter Outland is the loot package. This is a new version that doesn’t replace any of the older packs, but rather compliments the Trapper. If you want to play with the idea of being the hunter or the hunted then the Prey Pack is for you! This one doesn’t include crowns, but for $ 19.99 you get 2 exclusive uniforms, 2 hats, face paint, and a piece of facial wear. Check out the loot package in the store and become an Outland beast!
A look into the future
We brought some content back in March. The first is the Community Corner competition, which is held every weekend. And in case you’re interested in the hardworking people behind Vigor, check out our revived ones Vigor team interviews.
Something you don’t want to miss is a hidden feature in Season 8 called Legacy Seasons. We have mentioned it a few times in the past and we are very proud of that. So go out and do some research, then share your theories on social media!
And now in the distant future. There are several challenges that we must face in the coming months in order to achieve significant improvements forcewhich means season 8 will last longer than you are used to. With more things to share, we plan to update you in a separate blog post that covers future schedule changes and upcoming improvements force. So stay tuned! And thank you for your tireless support and feedback.
See you in Outland!
