The nearly endless romance of Final Fantasy 9 Remake adds another chapter, perhaps the most relevant in this series of episodes that include leaks, speculation, and outright lies. Many will remember this cyberattack that NVIDIA suffered some time ago and that turned the world of video games upside down because of the names of future productions that had been leaked. Well, many of the names that were on those lists ended up becoming a reality and one of the games listed was, precisely, Final Fantasy 9 Remake.
So far, SquareEnix hasn’t officially said it supports or cancels the rumor, but a recent tweet from Hironobu Sakaguchicreator of the Final Fantasy saga, brings more truth to everything.
Final Fantasy 9 Remake Could Be Closer Than We Think
Alright…I’m going to do that now… pic.twitter.com/OyrzKwNLan

The translation of the tweet, thanks to the automatic algorithms, would be something like “Well… now I’ll do it”, which could be a clear indication that the remake is about to start or that at least something of linked to the title that we will have , although it is strange that the eighth installment has not yet gone through this process.
Previously it was said that this remake would not be split into parts as happened with Final Fantasy VII Remake, but would be a single, cross-platform game, which in principle excludes exclusivity . In turn, another of the transcended that seemed very strong with regard to this project is that Nobuo Uematsu would also add his contribution.
Time will tell if we will actually receive the long-awaited Final Fantasy 9 Remake in a short period of time.
