Even if you’ve never played Mass effect You’ve probably heard of it before – the characters, the incredible sci-fi universe it is set in, the fact that it has been loved by fans 14 years after it was first released. If you’re thinking of starting your first playthrough, we have five tips to help you get the most out of your game Mass Effect Legendary Edition Experience.
It might be tempting to skip straight to the third game to see the conclusion – but this trilogy is very much about the journey from game to game. Tip one is to start at the beginning. The legendary edition brings many improvements to the first game, including updates to aiming, squad controls, cameras, and visual enhancements like a full world building pass (including environmental art, VFX, and relighting). So, Mass effect has never looked or played better. But the biggest reason to start with the first game? This is where your story – and your Shepard – begins. The decisions you make from the start will determine your course throughout the trilogy.
Tip two: get to know your squadmates. These are the people who have their backs on every mission. So, you need to know their strengths and weaknesses if you are to successfully complete each mission. As you get to know the characters, you’ll also find out which combinations give you the best in-mission banter. This may not seem important to you now, but trust me, you won’t want to miss out on some of these conversations. After all, many of your squadmates are romantic, and you may want to explore these relationships. So spend some time working and talking to them to get the most out of your playthrough.
The third tip is great: decide who your Shepard is and what he stands for. Yes, you are going to make some important decisions before you even start playing who you are going to play – you will decide where your Shepard is from, what he has been through and of course what he looks like. And those decisions, while affecting your story, not quite as much as the conversations you have and the actions you take. Your Shepard may generally choose to take the main drag and make more thoughtful and altruistic decisions as a Paragon. Or maybe yours is more heated and intimidating when you go with the renegade morale options. Maybe your Shepard is somewhere in between, no matter, try to stay true to who they are and who you want them to be.
Your next tip is to understand your “play style”. and focus on the classes and specializations that make your Shepard really impressive in combat. I love nothing better than running face first into the middle of a battle, so Vanguard was an obvious choice to me. Biotic Charge quickly became my favorite way to take out enemies. Do you prefer to take photos carefully from a safe distance? You might want to start out as a more tech-savvy infiltrator. There are many options to choose from, and specializations will help you get the most out of each.
The final tip is not to treat the trilogy like a race. Instead, think of it as a road trip. Take some time to explore the Milky Way, its planets and people. There are mutliple reasons for this; The most pragmatic thing is that if you want to earn XP, funds, and certain upgrades, you’ll need to collect resources at various points in the trilogy. But to understand how the many worlds and species they inhabit fit into the world Mass effect
Hopefully these tips will make your first playthrough one that you will never forget!
