For Halo 2’s 20th birthday, there is a playlist with iconic maps in Halo Infinite, and the E3 demo is playable for the first time.
The second part of the Halo saga celebrates its 20th birthday in November. Halo 2 was released in North America on November 9, 2004. In Europe and Japan the launch followed just two days later on November 11th.
To mark the occasion, Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) pays tribute to the game’s legacy on Xbox Wire.
This is how you can play the Delta Arena playlist in Halo Infinite. It features iconic maps from Halo 2’s multiplayer. What makes it special is that the maps have been completely recreated with the same authentic gameplay inspired by that era. The playlist will be available today.
The Halo 2 demo that was shown at E3 2003 is probably even more iconic. You can download the demo with content that didn’t make it into the finished game as a mod for the Halo: The Master Chief Collection via Steam Workshop and play it for the first time ever.
