Gears 5: Hivebusters is coming to Xbox Game Pass, opening the door to other potential spinofs

Gears of War’s first story expansion arrives with Gears 5: Hivebusters. It is common for this saga to expand its online modes with maps, characters and even new game modes. However, expanding the campaign without launching a new title is a daring never seen before in the series. However, this situation opens up a range of interesting possibilities

. If we look at the previous versions of the franchise, without counting the numbered ones, we can find other spinofs like Gears Tactics or Gears of War Judgmente. Games that deal with secondary stories or the past to expand traditions.

Bringing the eponymous new online mode to the game might already have given us a hint that the Expanded Universe would somehow become playable.
