Tom Henderson speaks out about the numerous rumors surrounding Microsoft and Xbox: “People are making up crap.”
The rumors about Microsoft Xbox and its future have gotten pretty out of hand and what started as Hi-fi Rush and Sea of Thieves coming to PlayStation suddenly became “All Xbox games coming to PlayStation” and the wildest rumors took over their course.
Now the insider came forward Tom Henderson spoke up and said that it is currently not easy for Microsoft to simply deny the current rumors because it is a more complex topic and saying “We are working on it” or something similar would only cause new rumors to arise.
Tom also revealed that “people just make up crap to capitalize on the hysteria” and so you shouldn’t believe everything the supposed insiders say on a weekly and almost daily basis in their I Heard podcasts and YouTube -Publish videos.
Likewise, details appear to have been adapted or even passed on in a specially distorted manner in order to turn a mosquito into an elephant.
According to Tom Henderson, even Microsoft was very surprised at the extent of the rumors, as apparently only Hi-fi Rush and Sea of Thieves for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch were discussed – and everything else is not set in stone.
“You can think of it what you want, but when I spoke to a few people there, they were [xbox] very surprised at the extent of the ‘rumours’ as nothing was set in stone apart from Hi-Fi and SoT as far as I could tell.”
“Frankly, it sounds like most of this is a prime example of Chinese whispers or people just making up crap to capitalize on the hysteria. It will be interesting to see what is said as the rumors seem to be fueling decisions that need more time in the oven, so to speak.”
