The team here at Rebellion has hunkered down and is hard at work on a variety of new content for Sniper Elite 5 and we are pleased to announce this season pass two is available now, bringing awesome new missions, weapons, and skins. The first drop, called Rough landinghas just arrived on the Xbox Store, bringing an incredible new mission and two explosive additions to your weapon arsenal.
Developed in collaboration with our friends at Flix Interactive, the new Rough Landing mission takes you deep into thick forests after a group of Allied airmen were shot down and are now being hunted by Nazi forces. They hold invaluable information that must be kept out of the enemy’s hands at all costs. It’s up to you to find the crash sites and figure out where the fliers are stuck.
Playable in both single player and co-op, the sprawling map offers a variety of challenges with dense forest areas, a village, a mine shaft, and a giant railway bridge for you to explore. There will also be plenty of opportunities for melee combat, meaning you might need some extra firepower.
You’ll also get two brilliant new weapons as part of the Rough Landing pack: the Mosin Nagant rifle and the Sjögren shotgun. I asked Lloyd Everson, Senior Designer at Flix Interactive, to give us a glimpse of your new firepower:
“The Mosin-Nagant is a notoriously powerful and reliable Russian rifle that saw widespread service from its development in the 19th century through modern times, with the M91/30 being the most prolific variant. Thanks to its 7.62mm Russian cartridges, it has excellent stopping power and offers excellent stability, making it an excellent choice for long-range snipers.”
“The Sjögren 12G Swedish Inertia was one of the world’s first semi-automatic shotguns. It features a unique inertial system that is still being replicated in various modern shotguns over 80 years later. This system gives the gun’s recoil a distinctive feel that can be controlled to deliver accurate shots with a reasonable rate of fire.”

Trench Warfare delivers devastating firepower perfect for close quarters combat in the form of the SMG Carl Gustav M/1945, Trench Gun and Double 1866 Pistol.
The Carl Gustav M/1945, better known as the Swedish K, was introduced in 1945 and borrowed characteristics from various World War II firearms to create a reliable and well-balanced submachine gun. With 600 rounds per minute, the Gustav delivers precise single shots while offering excellent control in continuous fire.
The Trench Gun, a powerful pump-action shotgun, was first used by the US armed forces during World War I and World War II. Fed with 12-gauge shells from its 6-round tubular magazine, it sacrifices range and rate of fire for extreme close-range damage.
Finally, the Double 1866 is a double-barreled pocket pistol designed in the 19th century as an easily concealed backup that can be quickly drawn. Although it only has a single-action trigger and produces a very low muzzle velocity, the D.1866’s unique characteristics make it a powerful close-range weapon.
