Some veterans of the original Mass Effect trilogy were involved in the development of Mass Effect 5.
There was good news for Mass Effect fans at the recent Game Awards. The work on a new offshoot of the space role-playing game saga was officially confirmed by BioWare and there was also a teaser trailer.
It seems that the development team wants to go back to the roots of the series and revive old strengths. This is supported by the fact that some veterans, who played crucial roles in the development of the original trilogy, are back on board.
Dusty Everman (senior designer of the original trilogy), Parrish Ley (cinematic director of Mass Effect 1-3), Brenon Holmes (senior programmer of Mass Effect 1 + 2, senior designer of Mass Effect 3) and Derek Watts (original art director of Series) are involved in the development of the new offshoot.
Since Mass Effect 5 is in the very early development phase, there are very few details about the game. Michael Gamble recently indicated that the next part of the series could possibly close the gap between the original trilogy and Mass Effect: Andromeda.
