In recent days, all eyes have been on the lawsuit between the FTC and Microsoft regarding the takeover of Activision by those in Redmond. But that’s not the only focus of the Xbox news we have, as Todd Howard leaves us with several headlines about the company’s next big exclusive: Starfield.
Bethesda’s new space RPG arrives in September and promises to be one of the greatest games of all time. Not only for its content and history, but for the almost endless possibilities that we will have in it.
Starfield will continue to support the modding community
And we’re not talking about the 1000 planets included in the game, but because, in the words of its own director, Starfield will be a modder’s paradise. An aspect in which the developer is working to ensure that the game is compatible with the huge modding community, even doing better than in their previous games. Skirym and Fallout 4 received a lot of content via mods, which should be repeated in Starfield, but going further. Something he confirmed in his recent interview with Kinda Funny Todd Howards.
I think Starfield will be kind of a modder’s paradise. It’s part of our DNA, we’ve been doing it for over 20 years and we have our community around it. We’ve generally been regular gamers, that’s our community, and people are still modifying our games and playing them. We are therefore preparing a lot in this direction.
One of the things I mentioned is that it’s important for us not only to allow it, but also to participate. Doing is easy for them, doing it where they can make it not just a hobby, but their career. We have been very successful there. So we can’t wait to see what everyone can do with Starfield.
