The Xbox 360 Store will be retired in July 2024 and will no longer be supported.
Microsoft officially announced today that the “Xbox 360 Store” aka “Xbox 360 Marketplace” will be discontinued in July.
As of July 29, 2024, the Xbox 360 Store will be history.
“As of July 29, 2024, the Xbox 360 Store or Xbox 360 Marketplace (marketplace.xbox.com) will no longer be supported. Until that date, purchases in the Xbox 360 Store and Xbox 360 Marketplace will continue to be supported.”
“This will not impact the way the community plays their current games on Xbox 360 or via backwards compatibility. Through backward compatibility, players can continue to download and play games they already own on Xbox 360, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S consoles.”
From July 29th it will no longer be possible to purchase any content or games from the Xbox 360 Store.
After this date, you can still play discs or re-download previously purchased games as usual, even after the closure.
