Tux and Fanny is a rare and unusual gaming experience that I’m still not quite sure how to describe. On the one hand, it’s a love letter to the classic games we grew up with. On the other hand, it is a surreal and absurd work of interactive art. at its core, Tux and Fanny could be compared to games like monkey island and Crazy mansionalthough it quickly avoids all expectations with a seemingly endless stream of strange but entertaining tangents, including mini-games of very different styles.
Tux and Fanny is based on an amazing animated feature film of the same name. The film’s creator, Albertbirney, was also a co-creator of the game. We both developed the game on both ends of the continent and we had a blast doing it. Albert had never made a game before, but I was able to ease any odd request he had. We realized early on that there are no rules in the world of Tux and Fannyand we let our imaginations run wild as we lovingly put together this video game.
The history of Tux and Fanny Is simple. Tux and Fanny are best friends and want to play soccer, but their soccer ball is empty. Inflating their soccer ball is much easier said than done as they must embark on an immersive adventure to reach their goal.

There are secrets around every corner, and we packed the game to the brim with every compelling detail we could. All over the world you can find disks with new mini-games that you can load and play in-game on the computer. There is an addictive tooth puzzle game that I have already spent many hours enjoying. There is a bubble bobble-inspired platformer with 100 levels. There’s even a classic text-based fantasy adventure with a twist. We’ve never held back our passion for creating a diverse and fun experience.
We quietly released the game for the first time back in September, and since then we’ve had such a wonderful response from players of all backgrounds. A good handful of people claimed it was one of their favorite games of 2021. When I released the game on Xbox this year, I had the opportunity to improve it overall while incorporating leaderboards into a brand new exclusive mini-game inspired by mine earliest memories of the original Xbox. Albert and I are so excited to be able to bring it Tux and Fanny to discover a new audience.
Tux and Fanny may be a single player game, but it’s also a great game to play with your best friend, as many of our fans are happy to report. The main story will last around 5 hours, with at least 5 hours of additional quests to complete on top of that.
