Graphical comparison and performance of the Callisto protocol
Today December 2, 2022 is undeniably marked by the exit from Callisto Protocola title that “feeds” on the mythical Dead Space and that we really wanted to be able to play and enjoy because this type of horror genre is not very common.
From what we have seen in The Callisto Protocol gameplay and trailerswe are facing one of the titles that best squeezes the Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine to date.
But maybe some of you are wondering which version of The Callisto Protocol to buy, whether it’s the Xbox Series X|S version, the PS5 version or the PC version, because sometimes there can be a variation in performance between One and the other.
Thanks to a performance and graphic quality comparison video made by the Youtube channel ElAnalistadeBits, we can draw some conclusions.
As you can already imagine, the resolution of the Xbox Series S version is inferior to other versions and it is that he runs towards a 1440p resolution and 30 fps while the Xbox Series X and PS5 version the resolution increases to 2160p and 30 fps in the fashion quality there 2160p and 60 fps in performance mode. The game allows choosing between the two options, or prioritizing graphics quality or prioritizing performance in the form of increased fps.
Although the PC version is the one that offers the highest graphic quality thanks to a more powerful PC than the game consoles, it is true that the optimization is not up to par and it lacks strong drops in performance that sometimes obscures the gaming experience.
Therefore, we would have the option of opting for the Xbox Series X version and the PS5 version, both are versions that work in a very similar way, although they do. PS5 version detected with reflections thanks to Ray Tracing while the Xbox Series X version.
It’s probably a bug and only with a patch it gets updated and the performance on Xbox Series X is the same as on PS5.
