The smaller and simpler a device, the longer it takes Apple to get started. This happened to us recently with the famous AirTags. After a year full of rumors about its launch, they finally emerged in April. And with AirPods 3, it’s the same.
We’ve been hearing rumors about the third generation AirPods for many months. Even the first counterfeits have already appeared on the market, before the originals were released. It looks like they’re already in series production and will be launching alongside the iPhone 13. Let’s see what has been said about the new ones. AirPod 3
After many months of hearing “clues” about what the third generation of Apple’s famous AirPods will look like, it seems that finally manufacturing has already started en masse, and they’ll be released (all of these rumors are rumors) during Apple’s next virtual keynote next month, along with the new iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7.
Rumor summary
They will have a new exterior design. Without the rubber tips of the AirPods Pro, they will be an evolution of the original AirPods, so that they can better fit the ears. The “leg” will be shorter than that of current second-generation AirPods.
They will benefit from improvements in terms of connectivity and battery performance compared to current models, but they will not integrate the “premium” functions of the battery. AirPods Pro. Neither active noise cancellation nor transparency mode. They are expected to be compatible, of course, with Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio.
There are no rumors about the charging case, so we don’t know if there will be only one version with wireless charging, or two versions, one with and one without. As for the price, it will be between the current AirPods and the AirPods Pro. Between 150 and 200 Euros.
As we discussed at the beginning, it is expected that Tim cook get them out of your pocket at the next keynote in September, where this year’s new iPhone 13 and the new Apple Watch Series 7 will be showcased. We’ll see if we’ve got it all or not.
