Suddenly, Google has announced on the official Android website that the first version of Android 11, an iteration will be stable by the middle of this year.
Becoming a Developer Preview Google makes it clear that it's a version available so that developers can test their applications and adapt them to the issues that Android 11 puts in.
So we're not dealing with the Beta version as they know so far, which will come later, but it's a developer version. Yes, anyone with a compatible mobile phone can install it, but we should expect failures and problems, of course.
Android 11 Days
To make this clear on Google they published an image where we see the dates when different versions of Android 11 will be available.
February is the first preview of the founder, and there will be another one next month and the last one in April. The beta models will arrive in May, with three iterations. Shortly afterwards, sometime in the third quarter (probably as early as August as the other years), the final version of the Pixels will arrive and, hopefully, more models.
Compatible Calls
Currently this version can only be installed on Google Pixels, not all. Specifically there are eight models, officially, that we can try:
- Pixel 4 / 4XL
- Pixel 3rd / 3rd XL
- Pixel 3/3 XL
- Pixel 2/2 XL.
