The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro service program for front speaker sound issues has been extended by Apple for up to 3 years.
Some Apple phones have front speaker problems, which makes voice calls considerably difficult by not being able to hear the other person unless the speakerphone is activated. The company is aware of this and, although on many occasions the human factor intervenes, in the case of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, it goes further.
As the firm states “a very small percentage of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro devices may experience sound issues due to a component that could fail in the receiver module”, which is why If you have one of these two devices, it will be free to repair your front speaker.. And, now, the company has chosen to extend the timelines of said service program until 3 years.
Apple will continue to fix iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro with sound issues for up to 3 years
As we mentioned some time ago it was Official Launch of “iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Service Program for Sound Problems” worldwide by those of Cupertino. With this program, any iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021 has the opportunity to get a free front speaker repair to fix sound related issues as explained on the official website.
Unlike the replacement programs we’ve seen before with other company devices, with this service program what Apple will do is directly fix the speaker on the front of the phone, making it work as it should again. So you will no longer have problems hearing voice calls and the sound will work as it should at all times.
With the expansion of the service program, if you have an eligible iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro, you have up to 3 years from the date of purchase
As an indication, it is important to note that neither the iPhone 12 mini nor the iPhone 12 Pro Max are covered for this program, so if you have one that says yes, you will have to pay for the repair of the front speaker. Either way, if you contact Apple Support, they can check by serial number or IMEI if your iPhone is covered by the program and, if so, they will help you fix it for free and provide you with additional information about the process.
