A few months ago, Apple presented the 2nd generation HomePod, the revision of its first “smart” speaker, although the reception had very varied opinions. On the one hand, some users were happy that the company added to its catalog a device with such good sound quality to enjoy your favorite songs or use it with Apple TV to listen to series and movies like never before.
Other users felt something disappointed seeing that those who had the bitten apple were repeating the strategy that, presumably, led to the failure of the original HomePod: its high price. And having the Echo Studio as an alternative for 100 dollars less (or much less during sales) and with a better voice assistant, it was difficult to opt for Apple’s proposal.
However, there are Bluetooth speakers that are even more expensive than the HomePod 2nd generation. Meet the Sonos Move 2, the update to the brand’s most powerful portable model that features some interesting improvements. That’s why we’re going to put them face to face to find out their characteristics, differences and pricesso that users can make a better purchasing decision.

Furthermore, Its autonomy is up to 24 hoursso you can play songs for a long time, ideal for parties that last until the wee hours of the morning.
Apple’s 2nd generation HomePod is not portable. It is designed to be placed in one place and not moved (preferably inside the house, as it is not intended to be used outdoors) as it must be connected to the electrical network.
Compatibility
The 2nd generation HomePod is another pillar of the Apple ecosystem, and this has its good and bad sides. The good news is that the integration with the brand’s devices is complete. The problem is that if you don’t have an iPhone or iPad, they are practically unusable since they are required for the first boot.
Another point to note is that the HomePod works incredibly well with Apple Music and the company’s other services, but not so much with third-party platforms (although it is possible to change the default music streaming service).
The Sonos Move 2 offers, like the HomePod 2, compatibility with AirPlay 2, therefore iPhone, iPad and Mac users can send content from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music or TIDAL, and there are other ways to do it, such as opening the application of the service chosen by the user, choosing a song and looking for the speaker icon to connect it to Move 2.
