Apple TV + continues to receive new productions in its catalog. Apple’s streaming video service is increasing its catalog of releases for a season that is becoming more and more interesting. And on this occasion, the premiere was produced straight from Broadway. And is that a new musical is about to arrive on Apple TV +.
This is not the platform’s first foray into the genre. For example, “Schmigadoon” already featured the genre on Apple TV + a few weeks ago. Apple Original Films, the Apple TV + label for its own productions, will be released on September 10 a filmed version of this musical on Apple TV +. Some of the actors featured in this filmed version of the musical include Petrina Bromley, Jenn Colella, De’Lon Grant, Joel Hatch, Tony LePage, Caesar Samayoa, Q. Smith, Astrid Van Wieren, Emily Walton, Jim Walton, Sharon Wheatley and Paul Whitty. In addition, he has been performed at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater in New York, directed by Christopher Ashley.
The recording took place last May, with an audience of essential service workers, as well as 9/11 survivors. Something that is no mere coincidence, since the musical itself represents the story of what happened in the Operation Yellow Ribbon
In 2001, 38 planes, among others, were diverted to a small town in Newfoundland after September 11 to protect the United States from potentially destructive air traffic. A story of kindness and hospitality, at a time when the world was going through a very dark time.
