A coronavirus from the Chinese city of Wuhan continues to affect technology companies, and Apple is not fleeing. According to the Nikkei Asia Review, the company had planned an increase in AirPods Pro orders for suppliers to manufacture 45 million units. Now that production is at stake.
Many vendors and other preparatory companies in China have made a two-week break in all activities. The break ends on Monday, but returning to work may be affected by the lack of nutrients required for the production of the products. That's it it would mean that AirPods Pro will have less stock in stores temporarily
All pending what will happen next week
The source estimates that production will be able to work again this Monday, though it can only do so with 50 percent of its capacity. Apple did not like to comment on this, but apparently they would have the materials for only two weeks of work At the factories. The company, remember, also keeps its Apple Store, offices and support centers closed to reduce the impact of the coronavirus on its employees.
It all depends on what happened next Monday, when those stores should reopen if the decision is not finalized. IPhone production should come back on the 10th day, so we should have news from China within a few days with the knowledge that the shutdown has been extended or if everything is back to normal.
