Although there is still a long way to go before Google’s Pixel Fold is presented, a leak now shows a “dummy” model with its exact dimensions

The Pixel Fold is wider and thinner
YouTuber Dave2D has received a “dummy” model of the Pixel Fold which is often used for blanket makers. The source indeed dropped the dimensions accurately.
It also leaves room, via Android Authority, for some specifications related to the the design of its screen, its positioning, the bezels or exactly how the fold of this foldable will be.
That this leaves us strange is due to the fact that the vast majority of foldables launched with this form factor have experienced interprets the screen very well so that the bezels are thin and you can enjoy a mobile that turns into a great tablet.
Here Google seems to play again with some exaggerated bevels both top and bottom (some of which will be in the next Pixel 7a), which may not matter much, but given the work Samsung has done on its Galaxy Z Fold 4, the first impression n is not the most positive.
The good and bad of the Pixel Fold
There is a detail that improves Samsung’s folding and that is its thickness with only 5.7 mm when deployed; that is to say in its tablet mode. Another of its differentiating points is that in the Pixel Fold there is no empty space when the mobile is folded, unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
so take that water drop designthat we just saw the Z Fold 5 leak just yesterday, which will use that same language so that kind of discrepancy doesn’t exist.
This “dummy” model also shows off the spine design when unfolded to leave that feeling of having a lifetime notebook in hand. A detail that you may like it or not depending on the user.
And of course these disproportionate bezels, compared to other foldables like the OPPO Find N2 itself, have the advantage that at the top the frame will be worth to clear the screen from the front camera.
Sea como fuere, el Pixel Fold se filtra para mostrar su diseño gracias a este modelo “dummy” que no oculta ningún detalle y que nos lleva a tener en mente lo que será el primer plegable de Google.
