How to indicate that you will do a face-to-face or virtual act during a meeting in Google Calendar

Choose whether you will host the event in person or via video calls in Google Calendar

Google Calendar has been updated with a new feature that allows us to communicate if we want act of presence in person or via a video call such as Zoom.

This new feature is accessible when you click on the waterfall menu that is displayed when you click on the “Yes” button at the bottom of the invitation in Google Calendar.

Now there are two RSVP options: “Yes, in the meeting room”, and “Yes, virtually”. The event organizer and attendees will be able to see how attendees intend to attend the meeting.

Google says that in this way the organizers can decide what will be the best way to create the event and thus finalize the details either physically or through the various solutions currently available to us.

Participants wishing to access the meeting room physically, they will have a door icon next to their name on the invitation, while the camera icon will be for those attending the meeting virtually.

It should be mentioned that the participation details only appear in Google Calendar and not in other platforms such as Microsoft Outlook.

At the moment, this new feature is available in Google CalendarAlthough the big G is hoping to bring it to Gmail soon. An app that has received some luscious improvements such as tasks to give it a little more of that Trello experience.
