Bread, milk, sugar, eggs, cinnamon… Simple ingredients for delicious results. It’s time to eat torrijas, and yes, in the plural because who can resist the urge to eat just one? The counterpoint is those extra calories we consume the days that we usually devote to rest.
A torrija itself should not worry us at all. This won’t make us gain weight as long as we eat healthily the rest of the year.. However, I particularly like to keep a balance between what I eat and what I spend. To know what I burned I have my Apple Watch. And to know what I consumed, I taught Siri it’s up to me to write it.
Shortcuts, Siri and torrijas, the combination to avoid gaining weight this Easter
I have to admit that I’m not someone who uses the Shortcuts app excessively. In fact, there were times when I didn’t even have it installed on the iPhone. However, I thought about how I could add up the calories I consumed without having to download an app.. Shortcuts and Siri were the solution. We will first create the shortcut, to do this verify that you have downloaded the application and follow these simple steps:
- Open shortcuts and create a new one by clicking on the +
- Add an action by typing Health > Register a medical sample
- Choose sample type as Food energy
- In value, we will highlight 350 calories per torrija
- Save the shortcut and that’s it
An important step will now be rname the shortcut so Siri recognizes it. To do this, hold it down for a moment and click Rename. I have chosen “I ate a torrija“. This way, when I say “Hey Siri, I ate French toast”, it will automatically add 350 calories to the Health app.
Where can I see how much I ate and how much I burned?
Whether you have an Apple Watch or just an iPhone, you’ll be able to track how many calories you’ve burned throughout the day. This This is possible thanks to the pedometer integrated into the iPhone.
Obviously the Apple Watch will factor in a lot more workouts, but just with the iPhone and a good walk you will have already burned off that torrija you ate so comfortably. To see where all this data is located
- Access the app Health > Explore tab
- Research Food energy
- Scroll down and Add to favorites
So, in the Health Summary Tab You’ll see how many calories you’ve ingested and how many you’ve burned with your daily activity. About 30 minutes of walking will have burned almost a torrija.
Our advice is that You don’t have to be obsessed either. If you lead a healthy lifestyle, you can even laugh with count torrijas that you consumed. It was simply an anecdote that I wanted to share with you as the iPhone and torrijas lover that I am. So after this tip, I can only hope you take advantage of it!
