Apple released the first beta of iOS and iPadOS 16.2 this week, a new update whose general public release date, according to Bloomberg, will be mid-December.
Mark Gurman poured a bucket of cold water on those who were waiting for new hardware versions for this end of the year. It looks like there won’t be any new devices or updates to existing devices, and so There will be no event for the remainder of 2022.
In addition to anticipating the release date of these updates, Gurman dares to announce another new update for iOS and iPadOS 16.3, as well as macOS Ventura 13.3, which they will arrive in the months of February or March 2023
Updates to iOS 16.2, we know the most important news thanks to the first Beta already available:
- New Freeform collaborative application, compatible with the ePencil App in its version for iPad
- Stage Manager support on external displays (iPad only)
- More frequent updates in live activities
- New Casa app architecture for better performance
- New Dream app widget
- New function that allows to indicate when the emergency call has been activated in the wrong direction on the Apple Watch
- New multi-user voice recognition in Siri for Apple TV
This is an early beta, so as it develops new features will likely appear and we will need to update this list.
