We have been talking for several months about the possibility of both the iPhone 6s and the iPad Air 2 will not update to iOS 15because they have already completed their lifecycle marked by years of updates. However, as Apple announced yesterday, the Phone 6s and iPad Air 2 will be updated to iOS 15.
The last time Apple took older devices out of the update cycle, it was due to none of them reach 2 GB of RAM

If you still have an iPhone 6s or an iPad Air 2, as I do, seeing as the number of features Apple introduced in iOS 15 is not that high, but focused on improve what already exists, I highly doubt that the excellent performance of both models with iOS 14 can be affected with the next generation of iOS 15 and iPadOS 15.
