During the inaugural WWDC keynote this week, Apple announced that the redesigned Apple cards are coming to Europe and Portugal. Today, from the beta of iOS 15 we can access Look Around, the tool that allows us to visualize maps at street level, throughout the national territory. A feature that, even if it seems to be still in the process of being deployed, promises to give us many joys.
Look around in cities with less than 100 inhabitants
Look Around is a feature of Apple Maps with which we can navigate the world as if we were driving or walking in it. As part of the complete overhaul of the company’s cards, we have saw this feature arrive in several major cities in the United States and other countries. With the announcement of the arrival of the new redesigned maps, many of us missed this important feature and assumed it would come later.

You are right. It looks like Apple is rolling out Look Around across the country. The surprise was to be able to verify that even the smallest villages or the most isolated sections of road also benefit from this function
While it is true that Google offers similar functionality with Street View from Google Maps, the truth is that the quality, detail, versatility and, most importantly, the ease of use of Apple Maps Look Around is awesome. Perfectly integrated with the Maps application of our device, we can navigate the territory in full screen or opt for a hybrid view which gives us more context and allows us to orient ourselves more easily.
The truth is, the arrival of the new Apple Cards in Europe has been, to some extent, eclipsed as part of WWDC and the endless new features we’re discovering. On the other hand, however, it’s clear that when we leave the developer conference and can enjoy the new cards on a daily basis, we will appreciate the wonderful work that Apple is doing.
