While we’re still waiting for Google to release the Pixel Watch, other smartwatch makers are ahead of the game in rolling out the latest version of the smartwatch OS. After Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4, the next smartwatch with Wear OS 3.0 is this Montblanc Summit 3.
The Montblanc Summit 3.0 retains the design of previous generations, with a smartwatch that wants to look like an analog watch, despite having a screen 1.28-inch AMOLED with 416 x 416 pixel resolution
It’s a luxury smartwatch, so let’s find premium materials in its construction. The case is titanium with a stainless steel bezel, the case back is engraved steel and the crystal is sapphire with anti-scratch properties. The smartwatch has a resistance of 5 atmospheres.
A welcome innovation is that the Montblanc Summit 3 mounts the “new” Snapdragon 4100+, with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. Supported connectivity is Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi and NFC for payments via Google Pay.
With all the usual sensors, Montblanc did not share battery capacity or autonomy, beyond indicating a “improved battery life“For reference, in our review of the Summit 2+, its battery life was just over a day.

The Montblanc Summit 3 can be reserved now with the case in titanium, black titanium and two-tone titanium finishes for an official price of 1,270 dollars. The smartwatch will go on sale on July 15, 2022.
