This version would arrive alongside the new Galaxy S25 family of mobile phones, and according to the latest rumors, it will be an update that will add many innovative features to compatible devices, starting with the Galaxy S25.
One UI 7.1 is a major part of the Galaxy S25 launch
Over the past few years, we’ve seen that Samsung typically releases three major updates to its customization layer every year, or rather every update cycle:
- A new One UI arrives shortly after a new version of Android is released (for example, One UI 6 arrived shortly after Android 14)
- A first major update is coming with the new Galaxy Sas was the case with One UI 6.1 with the Galaxy S24
- And a second major update is coming with its foldable phones, for example One UI 6.1.1 with the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6
In the case of One UI 7, this version is expected to arrive after the launch of Android 15. This version, according to information published on X/Twitter by the famous leaker Universe Ice, will focus on changes to the system interface. On the other hand, One UI 7.1 will arrive with several new featureswhich will be available first for the Galaxy S25.

This should come as no surprise. Samsung launched Galaxy AI, its portfolio of artificial intelligence features, via the update to One UI 6.1, which arrived with the Galaxy S24 family
So far, leaks and rumors ensure that One UI 7 will radically renew the interface of the Android version used by the Samsung Galaxy, including an improved quick settings panel and new icons for native apps, in addition to better animations and greater fluidity for the system . It remains to be seen if the predictions come true and when One UI 7.1 arrives, important and innovative new features will also arrive. Samsung is expected to unveil the new Galaxy S25 sometime in January 2025.
