Almost a year ago, SkyShowtime arrived in our market. He did this with a very attractive offer that left the monthly subscription at 50% for life. Now the company has just announced some news: SkyShowtime raises its price.
This is not the only thing that is changing on the platform, since this price increase is accompanied by a new plan with advertisements, following on from what Netflix or Disney+ have already done. Afterwards, Let’s see all the details of this SkyShowtime price change
From 5.99 dollars to 7.99 dollars for SkyShowtime
SkyShowtime came at the right time: There were several platforms whose prices had recently increased and, on top of that, Netflix had just announced its new shared account policy. This is something the community didn’t like and this is exactly where SkyShowtime landed.
He did it with a very interesting catalog both in terms of his wardrobe and new releases in the form of series and films. Having big production companies behind it, the platform was a safe bet, but the most interesting thing was the price.
It was 5.99 dollars per month, but if you subscribed initially, you could take advantage of the 50% off lifetime offer
Now, just a year later, SklyShowtime is announcing a price increase and the creation of a new plan with ads a little cheaper than the current monthly payment. Below we leave you with the two plans:
- Standard plan with ads – 4.99 dollars per month.
- Standard Plus Package – 7.99 dollars per month without advertising.
If we opt for the annual subscriptionThe prices are as follows:
- Standard Plan with ads – 39.99 dollars.
- Standard Plus plan – 62.99 dollars.
SkyShowtime didn’t take advantage of the price increase to announce video and audio quality improvements, which was necessary almost from day one. The new plans will go into effect on April 23 for current users and new subscriptions.
We contacted SkyShowtime to ask what happens with the 50% lifetime offer, since this would allow you to opt for a price of 3.99 dollars per month in the Standard Plus Plan. We will update as soon as we have more information.
