A year and a half ago, we told you that Spotify was developing an alternate version of stories for artists. Later, we saw that the approach would be more conventional. The latest update to its mobile applications, which has already jumped in Europe and other countries, already implements them.
How to Share Your Spotify Music on Instagram Story
Instagram has activated a very interesting option in its Stories: you can share the music you listen to on Spotify. We explain how.
The omnipresence of stories
For several years now, we’ve seen all the relevant mobile apps develop versions of popular Instagram stories, borrowed, so to speak, from Snapchat.
Spotify has stories now….

Seeing this kind of fast, vertical format in social apps like Facebook or Instagram was already normal, and even Twitter recently launched its own version.
The point is, their use hasn’t been limited to communication apps, and we’ve seen a few variations on YouTube, Discover, and, now, Spotify.
Spotify officially publishes the stories
Unlike other apps, on Spotify this content is not generated by the platform’s clients, but by artists. This makes sense since the idea of the app is that we can learn more about our favorite singers and bands in a more casual way.
At the moment, it is in the testing phase, although we have already been able to use them in some research, such as Christmas success. When we click on the first list, the one with the Mariah Carey cover, we will see that at the top there is a circle with a moving person.
If we click, we’ll jump to the stories on this list, one of the few that, so far, has stories. However, if it is successful, rest assured that Spotify will increase the number of playlists, albums or songs that will contain stories.
