Telegram has just been updated with a lot of improvements, including one that WhatsApp has been working on for some time.

Telegram version 8.4 includes the new reactions to messages, which we can access double-tap or hold the message. But that’s not the only new thing, it’s an update loaded with improvements.
- Reactions
- Double-tap a message to send a quick thumbs up: reaction.
- Long press on a message for more reactions.
- Edit your quick-reacting emoji in Settings> Stickers & emojis.
- Channel and group admins can trigger reactions in their chats on the Chat Info> Edit> Reactions page.
- Spoilers
- Select text as you write and choose the “Spoiler” format to hide all or part of the content of a message.
- Tap the spoiler animation to reveal the hidden text.
- The spoiler format hides the text in the chat, as well as in the list of chats and notifications.
- Translation
- Activate the translation option in Settings> Languages.
- Long press a message to translate it to another language.
- QR codes
- Generate a personalized QR code that leads to your public t.me link.
- Tap the QR code icon on public group, bot, and channel profiles so others can quickly scan it with their devices.
