As part of the BBK Group, realme’s future in Europe was not entirely clear, along with that of its “sister” brands, OPPO and OnePlus. Fortunately, the agreement with Nokia has opened the way for these brands to fully bet again on the Spanish market, and we are already seeing the effect of this with the announcement of the new Realme 12.
The so-called “number range” occupies the middle place in the devices that Realme offers in Europe, below the GT range but above the C range; It is therefore not surprising that it is the favorite of users looking for a super mobile with a low price
With the realme 12 Pro announced at MWC, the company has once again confirmed this commitment, with features more typical of high-end mobile phones; and today the launch of the realme 12 Pro in Europe and one of these flagship features has been confirmed.
Realme 12 Pro for Europe
Specifically, the launch of the realme 12 Pro in Europe will take place March 12, 2024, and aims to become a reference in photography for young consumers. A very ambitious aspiration, given the current panorama, where photography is one of the top priorities of modern cell phones.
To compete, Realme couldn’t settle for the same old cameras, even in the mid-range. Hence the great novelty of this model: a periscopic camera, which lets you take photos with true optical zoom, without the need for algorithms. It also stands out for its half-inch OV64B sensor, the largest in its class to obtain the greatest amount of light possible.
More precisely, it is a camera with 3x magnification, the equivalent of a focal length of 71 mm. Not only should this help us take photos of distant subjects, but it should also be particularly effective at achieving professional-quality bokeh portraits, according to the company.
As for the main camera, it is a well-known and reliable sensor, the Sony IMX890 with OIS, which so far has not failed on phones that have it mounted. On the realme 12 Pro, it promises superior performance, especially in night photography. Besides the periscope and wide-angle camera, the realme 12 Pro will offer a variety of zoom levels, have available 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x and 6x
Algorithms will be the other trump card. Realme claims to have worked with Qualcomm to create an image enhancement algorithm that improves functions such as LightFusion Engine for improve clarity and toneand the NightEye engine for superior night photography. This also implies that we should expect a Snapdragon processor, probably a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.
The realme 12 Pro will be available in “Underwater Blue” and “Navigator Beige” colors, with a maritime theme and a set of cameras designed by prestigious French watchmaker Ollivier Savéo.
We will know more about the realme 12 Pro, such as its price and technical specifications, in the coming weeks.
