Mobile phone prices have risen a lot, and this is something important in a country like Europe, where cost is almost the main reason for choosing one terminal or another. Google knows this, and that’s why a few years ago it launched its A series, terminals designed for those users who wanted a good mobile, but not spend too much money.

Last year the Pixel 6aa terminal that we analyzed at the time and that we really liked, but that has remained one of the benchmarks even months after its presentation.

It’s no coincidence, and it’s that the Pixel 6a offers decent features but, above all, a much better camera than its rivals in the category. This is why we wanted to analyze it after 9 months of use.

Sometimes as the main, sometimes in the drawer

I must clarify that I have not used this mobile as my main for 9 months, of course. Whenever I try a smartphone, I make it the only one I use, so in those times I didn’t have the Pixel in my hand.

It’s because I prefer not to carry two mobiles with me, to force myself to always use the model I’m analyzing.

However, I found myself using the Pixel 6a as my primary mobile when I wasn’t using any analytics even though I had better mobiles at my disposal.

That feeling the Pixel 6a got is something I’ve never seen in a mobile of this price.

Compliant in everything, shines in what is important

This device isn’t as advanced as its older siblings, it doesn’t have as much RAM, and it isn’t as premium in design. Despite everything, we are faced with a beautiful mobile, with a more than adequate screen, a power which equals those of its category, when it does not exceed it, and a refined interface.

Where this terminal shines is in three specific things, perhaps the ones people appreciate the most.

To begin with, in the cameras. The Pixel 6a’s camera system is by no means the best on the market. That doesn’t mean either. It uses sensors that have been with us for years, but thanks to Google’s computational photography it’s able to produce better photos than even more expensive rivals.

Of course, it’s true that in night mode it falters, and there we have models who take better photos than him.

There battery It is also better than that of other Pixels, and even better than that of other rivals, especially since Google does not kill applications in the background so as not to consume resources and here we will not have notification issues.

Finally, we have to talk about the Interface. Google obviously uses the cleanest interface on the market, although it has some improvements in addition to Android Stock. it makes the user experience light and fast, exactly what people appreciate.

There are no pre-installed apps, ads or loading screens with too many options to choose from.

Everything is not perfect

Obviously this terminal is not at all the best. To start, the screen has become somewhat outdated

Also, the front edges are quite noticeable, although that doesn’t matter to the average buyer of this smartphone.

Its 6 GB of RAM is enough, but there are slightly more expensive models with 8 or 12 GB.

Its battery isn’t bad, as we said, but its fast charging isn’t up to the current ones, it doesn’t have wireless charging, and it comes with no charger in the box.

A very attractive price

Another reason why I decided to try this terminal is its price. For many months, it has evolved in the range of 359 dollars100 dollars less than what it cost at launch.
