POCO hosted a presentation event in Europe today. In this event of the manufacturer, which this year is moving further away from Xiaomi, the new POCO F3 is formalized, a recently leaked phone. This phone is a new top of the range from the brand, which, as it is repeated in this range, is based on an already known device.

New POCO X3 Pro: same design, more power

Xiaomi presented in Europe the new POCO X3 Pro, a terminal with the same design as the Poco X3 NFC but with more power.

The POCO F3 is a powerful smartphone, with a good design, good specifications and that will leave us a good value for money, as expected of the brand. Although it is based on an already known model, it promises to be an option to consider in this segment.

Powerful, good design and good cameras

For weeks it was rumored that the POCO F3 would be an international version of the Redmi K40 and before its presentation, this rumor seemed to be confirmed. The design is identical, with its 6.67-inch perforated AMOLED display, with Full HD + resolution, HDR10 + technology, 1300 nits of maximum brightness and 120Hz refresh rate, which allow a good experience while playing with this device.

It’s something that’s boosted by the 360Hz tactile sample rate, which is higher than much more expensive models. The screen is one of the key aspects of this device.

Snapdragon 870 is the processor of choice in this model, a high-end processor from Qualcomm, which gives the device excellent performance and 5G connectivity as standard. It’s a good processor for gaming too, something that can be used in combination with its screen and 120Hz refresh rate. With this processor we have a battery capacity of 4520mAh, which will give it a good autonomy. This battery also has 33W fast charge.

At the back of this POCO F3 three cameras are waiting for us: a main sensor of 48 Mpx, an ultra wide angle of 8 Mpx and a macro sensor of 5 Mpx. It’s a solid combination, backed by the brand’s AI, to get good images with. A 20 Mpx sensor for selfies awaits us on the front of the phone, with a perforation of less than 3 mm.

Android 11 is the standard operating system, w ith MIUI 12.5 as the interface version. As we mentioned before, it comes with 5G as standard, in addition to having NFC for making mobile payments.

Two speakers are included, with Dolby Atmos technology. The Poco F3 comes with Android 11 and MIUI 12 as standard.

Pricing and availability

In today’s presentation, the brand confirmed the launch of this new POCO F3 in Europe. It will be available in three colors: blue, white and black.

• Poco F3 8 + 256 GB: 399 dollars

Promotional prices will be 299 dollars and 349 dollars respectively. This promotion will be available from March 27 to April 4, at the distributors that Poco España will indicate on its website.
