Two weeks ago, it officially introduced the stable version of Android 13 to the pixel, but Google has warned that the Android beta program will continue from September with new betas on mobile phones that are still enrolled in the program. Now, the company is updating its website to give important details about the upcoming update schedule.
In new information published by Google, we see how the company for the first time so many months in advance when will Android 14 Beta arrive on Google Pixel
Android 14 Beta will arrive from April 2023
In the “Frequently Asked Questions” section of the Android Beta Program, for the question “How long does each beta program last?” we see how Google informs about the duration of the Android 13 Beta program and the start of the Android 14 Beta program.
Google confirms that Pixels that are still enrolled in the Android 13 beta program will receive quarterly updates starting in September (quarterly platform releases) or QPR versions until March 2023. Which means that from September, Google will launch Android 13 QPR1 betathe final version of which will arrive in decemberand in January it will start Android 13 QPR2 beta the final version of which would arrive in March. Until the final version, Google will launch several beta versions to add more new features and bug fixes.
In March 2023 it would already be the launch of the last beta of Android 13 Beta QPR2, leaving room from April 2023 to Android 14 Beta 1but that doesn’t mean we have to wait until April to meet Android 14. Before, surely in February 2024 we will have Android 14 Developer Preview.
It looks like Google will repeat with Android 14 the same update schedule seen in Android 13, in which the first preview was released in February and the first beta was released in April.
