There are still few weather applications for Android Auto, but the good news is that they are gradually increasing. The latest is MyRadar, a weather application already available for mobile phones and now he made the jump to the car.
MyRadar for Android Auto is similar to other similar apps, showing a radar view similar to Weather and Radar, but only with the radar section
Your car as a rain radar
Android Auto welcomes a new weather application: MyRadar. The application, already available for mobile phones, Alexa, Smart TV, Windows and even smartwatches with Wear OS, is making the leap to cars, now compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
With MyRadar on Android Auto, you’ll find a map of your area with superimposed storm information, so you know what to expect on the road. For free, we can view the map and add or remove cloud and storm layers, move around the map and not much else.
The crown jewel of MyRadar for Android Auto is RouteCast, which shows weather forecast and road conditions along the way, but this requires us to pay the premium subscription of 22.99 dollars per year.
Without paying, we can always see the radar of our area on the Android Auto screenalthough weather forecasts are not included in Android Auto, at least for now.
MyRadar compatibility with Android Auto starts in beta, 8.52.1, which you can find on Google Play, although the beta program seems complete. For my part, I was lucky and thanks to this tip I managed to register for the beta and download the new version.
