I think this case is wrong and we are going to fight it. It’s my job to make sure it doesn’t become a distraction. And so if you look at what they’re trying to do, it’s basically using the law to define how we design products. And it shouldn’t be like that.”
The case Cook is referring to began in March, when the Department of Justice officially filed a lawsuit against Apple after investigating the company for years.
