After the games portal 4Players.de initially ceased editorial operations on October 31, 2021, the daily business of the website has been handled by freelance authors in recent months. The Funke media group has now announced that 4Players.de will be taken over as the new operator.

What about the editors? It is not yet known who will be responsible for the editorial content on 4Players.de in the future. In a release timed to coincide with the announcement Interview on Youtube the new owners indicate that they are in talks with some former 4Players editors who have at least expressed a basic interest.
