A great keyboard in tenkeyless format

In recent years, TKL (TenKeyLess) keyboards have been legion and Corsair is part of the trend. Proof of this is provided by this new model of the K70 RGB TKL, a top product that promises very high quality. Let’s check this out together.

As always with the manufacturer’s products, this K70 RGB TKL model is elegantly presented in its black and yellow box. Hardly the product dball, you understand that it is intended to be very clear for the players due to its format and layout and is not particularly suitable for typing and the many hours of work. With its very modest dimensions of 360 x 164 x 40 millimeters and a weight of 930 grams, it has no palm rest and obviously no numeric keypad, as it is the now well-known TKL format.

We’re used to Corsair, but the American manufacturer doesn’t have to: The design is flawless and the whole thing exudes solidity and “nobility” in the choice of materials. The brushed aluminum frame and the frameless structure ensure a very pleasant result for the eyes. It’s not a revolution in terms of aesthetics, but still very stylish and fits perfectly into any office.

Configurable as desired

The keyboard has 88 keys, but Corsair also sent us two keycap mod kits in white and green colors to be able to customize the keys as desired. Yes, that’s also the appeal of a mechanical keyboard. The set is made of extremely durable PBT and the white color even offers the luxury of being easily cleaned so that it never leaves the slightest trace.

Quality anywhere, anytime

In other words, the keyboard can recognize keystrokes even faster. The result is extraordinary fluidity, even if, let’s be clear, in classic gaming it is difficult to say whether the advantage is really clear. It’s more a question of feeling than real superiority in multiplayer.

A flawless one

Anyway, we tested the thing on our trusty Hunt Showdown which still requires so many reflexes, and it is clear that this model is especially comfortable in the game, if you are good it will not miraculously make you invincible and if If you are mediocre you are not going to become a particularly FPS genius. But it’s a keyboard that makes the in-game typing experience very comfortable.

Despite the quality buttons in double-injection PBT, we did not find the symptom of a weak backlight as in some competing models, but something very high quality, as always fully configurable via the very complete in-house software from Corsair: Icue.
