For the second time in a row, two PlayStation consoles have experienced a major glitch. Some games are simply unplayable.
In March last year, PSN experienced a serious outage, but it didn’t last very long. The fact is that players were unable to play for one evening. And the situation could have been even worse, as the incident occurred before the evening release of Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Rise of the Ronin on PlayStation Store. Fortunately, everything was back to normal before midnight, but now some services are crashing one after the other on certain consoles.
A breakdown of PlayStation Home and portable consoles
Are you still playing the PS3 and/or the little portable gem that is the PS Vita? You’re right to want to discover the older generations, but in the last few hours that thirst for knowledge has been undermined. For the second time in the month of May 2024, the online services of the PlayStation 3 and Vita are down. This means that the multiplayer of many games on these two consoles, such as GTA 4, is unplayable over the network. Dozens and dozens of titles are affected and, frankly, it’s quicker to list the ones that are likely to work.
“I was able to run this game (Editor’s note: Grand Theft Auto 4) online without any problems and was on a server before I went to sleep. When I woke up and turned on my PlayStation 3, I got a message saying it was impossible to join a game. Every game mode shows me this error after 15-20 seconds of loading” this vacuum
According to various reports, this affects PlayStation Vita and PS3 games that use P2P (peer-to-peer) technology for multiplayer. The good thing is that you can still play online, but if you want multiplayer, that’s not possible at the moment.
