The rumors were true! Xbox Game Pass is launching a new subscription that will finally let you share your account with multiple people. Here is all the first official information.
Today, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the best offer in the world of video games. However, Microsoft will find a way to make it even more beneficial with a family version where the subscription can be shared with multiple other accounts.
The Xbox Game Pass family has started!
Microsoft’s new spearhead, Xbox Game Pass, has established itself as the industry’s must-have service. Between its high-quality monthly supplements, its first-day releases, access to multiplayer or even the EA Play catalogue, the “Netflix” with gaming sauce is already not lacking in arguments to convince. Only one feature was missing: the ability to share your subscription with family members, like video and music streaming services. It will happen soon.
Don’t enjoy Xbox Game Pass Ultimate alone anymore! The green brand has just launched a test of a new, more expensive but shareable subscription. This much-rumored family offering is now available in Colombia and Ireland for this study, but should be arriving in other regions soon. More specifically, this Xbox Game Pass family allows you to share your subscription with four other Microsoft accounts. They will have the same benefits individually, but each will be able to manage their backups, favorites list, and feature set at their own discretion.
The icing on the cake seems that there are no budget restrictions on this new subscription. Microsoft also encourages sharing it with friends, not just family. At the moment this pack is marketed in Ireland for $21.99 per month compared to $12.99 for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. If you already have a subscription, Microsoft simply prorates the upgrade. In other words, if you have two months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you’ll get access to the Family plan for about a month. No date was given for the large-scale deployment, but it would be soon.
