Big fan mods for Fallout haven’t had it easy in recent months.
Fans of the Fallout role-playing games will have to wait a few more years for the next official part from Bethesda, as no need to hurry

No wonder that large fan mods are particularly popular. Fallout: London in particular is on the wish list of many fans, even though the release has recently been in limbo.
Another mod now seems to have been completely hit by it. We’re talking about Fallout: Nuevo México. At the moment, it doesn’t look like the project will ever be completed.
We’ll explain to you what happened.
Fallout: Nuevo México is increasingly disappearing from the scene
Until a few months ago, the world seemed to be in order. Fallout: Nuevo México appeared on the radar of many Fallout fans, and we also dedicated an extensive article to the mod in 2023.
Nuevo México was supposed to return to the origins of the series. The modders’ goal was primarily based on freedom of choice and the far-reaching consequences that come with it. You could have played either as a former prisoner or even as a ghoul. Visually, the game world is, unsurprisingly, reminiscent of Fallout: New Vegas, whose engine also works in the background of the standalone mod.

In the meantime, there is radio silence. Some time ago, all videos from the official YouTube-Kanal deleted – at the time with the justification that it was a hacker attack. The Project page on Nexusmods has also been reduced to the bare essentials.
On too Discord There was less and less going on recently, many channels were simply deleted. In the meantime, it was announced that that the project manager with the nickname Zapshock
Of course, there is still a spark of hope that things will continue at some point. But that is not really likely at the moment.

At least things are looking better again for Fallout: London.
