While Christmas is only a month away for us, the time for presents has already arrived in Diablo 4. And not just because of the Midwinter Plague event, which lets you pick up a one-time reward at a statue in Kyovashad.
Because the latest patch 2.0.5 has also ensured that you will be showered with valuable resources during hellfloods. But whether it will stay that way for long is questionable.
Floods full of gluten
Specifically, it’s about the anomalous embers that you can collect during a hellflood. This currency is dropped from defeated enemies and allows for special chests called Tormented gifts
to open. These contain legendary and unique equipment and weapons.
The rate at which these glutens appear has been Apparently increased drastically with the last patch. Players can currently find multiples of the normal amount of Anomalous Embers. Diablo streamer Rob shows this impressively in his video:

Although the patch also started the Christmas event that distributes buffs and gifts, Rob and many other players are convinced that the enormous amount of embers caused by a bug becomes. So it’s quite possible that Blizzard will bring the ember yield back to normal via a hotfix.
This is also supported by the fact that the change is not mentioned in the patch notes (which you can find on page two of the article).
Until then, many players are surprised and happy about the additional embers in the floods of hell, even if they are not infinitely useful. The Tormented Gifts for which the embers are used only appear in limited numbers, which is why you can only spend a maximum of around 1,500 embers per flood.
On Reddit, a player named JfluxLy a useful trick with which the embers can still be used. This makes it possible to switch to another character with the same difficulty level during the Hell Flood and open all the chests with him. This makes it easy to collect lots of equipment for all characters.
If you want to strengthen a certain character, Blizzard is officially offering you a good opportunity:
As part of the current event, you can raise one of your heroes on the eternal realm directly to level 50 and receive legendary equipment as well as lots of gold and crafting materials. All you have to do is talk to the Fateful Reliquary in the Kyovashad Tavern.
